♦ Planning of Provincial Specific Development Grants, Provincial Development Grants, Criterion Based and other development projects, preparation of estimates, implementation, supervision and progress review activities

♦ All functions of operating programmes with regard to the grants received from the central government, member’s provisions, annual estimates etc.

♦ Preparation of the Action Plan of the Department and performance review reports and all functions with regard to budget statement and budget reports

♦ All functions related to drugs prevention and child abuse prevention programmes and awareness workshops.

♦ Preparation of the estimate of capital expenditure

♦ Preparation of reports which have to be submitted to various institutions in relation to development sector, functions of progress review meetings related to development programmes and preparation of reports

♦ Maintenance activities of the buildings of the offices and institutions operating under the Department
