World Childrens Day 2023

“Path to the dreams”

In line with the World Children’s Day 2023, Department of Probation and Child Care Services (W.P.) conducted an exhibition of Children’s arts and crafts and street plays at the entrance of the Western Provincial Council Office Complex on 05.10.2023 in showcasing the creative skills of the children under residential care in Child Development Centers of the Western Province.

This exhibition was held with the precedence of the Hon. Governor of the Western Province Marshal of the Air Force Roshan Goonathilake and with the participation of the Chairman of the Western Provincial Council Mr. Sunil Wijerathne, the Chief Secretary of the Western Province Mr. Pradeep Yasarathna, the Secretary to the Governor Mr. P. Somasiri and the Secretary to the Ministry of Health, Indigenous Medicine, Social Welfare, Probation and Child Care, Women’s Affairs and Council Affairs, Mr. K. Gamini Dharmasena. Deputy Chief Secretaries, Departmental Heads, Officers of the Department of the Western Province as well as the managers and the children of the Child Development Centers of the Western Province participated in this exhibition.
